By accessing the website at www.cphux.com, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms of service, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. The materials contained in this website are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.


The following terms and conditions are applicable between the person ("Member") and CPHUX. These terms and conditions are an integral part of the Member Agreement. In addition to the Member Agreement, the member shall also be bound by specific terms and conditions that may, at any time, apply to other services and offers. These terms and conditions are available on our website.


To become a CPHUX Member you have a background in design or a serious interest in professionally moving into design. You warrant that you are at least 18-years-old and you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts/creating a membership. If you are under 18-years-old, you warrant that you have obtained consent from your parent or guardian and they agree to be bound by these Terms on your behalf. Membership is available as a monthly membership only. Occasionally, time-limited offers for memberships may occur. It is strictly specified how many months these offer prices are valid before the normal membership rates come into effect if there is a limited offer. The membership 'Full member' costs 199 DKK inc. VAT per month. The membership 'Low Income' costs 149 DKK inc. VAT per month. To qualify as a 'Low Income' member, the members have to, at all times, provide CPHUX with documentation that they are either unemployed, struggling freelancer/entrepreneur or a student. If a Low Income member have an income over 15.000DKK per month, the member does not qualify as 'Low Income' and will have to upgrade their membership to 'Full member" immediately. The date the members sign up will be the payment date the upcoming months (if a members signs up May 4th, he/she will pay the upcoming month June 4th and so forth.) The memberships is subject to an annual regulation and increases 3% per year with effect from the 1st of January. Membership is personal and cannot be used by anyone else than a member who purchased it. If any changes in the personal information occur (such as name, address, telephone number, email or credit card details), the member is required to update this information on their personal profile page on the website. You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the CPHUX website and for any activities or actions under your password, whether your password is with the CPHUX website or a third-party service. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. A breach of this will immediately result in termination of account and a lifetime ban from CPHUX or sister chapters in other cities. You agree to be fully responsible for activities that relate to your account or your password. You must notify CPHUX via email info@cphux.com immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

Working from the CPHUX co-working space

Members can access CPHUX co-working space at Symbion Monday - Friday from 8am till 5pm (Symbion opening hours, after 5pm the outer doors lock). Members are welcome to stay longer, as long as they leave the space cleaned and turn of the lights. The space can be closed in rare occasions and is always closed on bank holidays. CPHUX cannot guarantee vacant seats for everyone, but the members are free to use the common space in Symbion Østerbro as a part of their membership. Members may only occupy the seats in space, which means jackets and backpacks cannot occupy other tables next to a member. The conducting work cannot disturb other members, whether it's in form of air, noise or lights disturbance.


Members can work from the CPHUX co-working space (referred to as the space) at Symbion on Fruebjergvej 3, 2100 Copenhagen on weekdays from 8am till 5pm (Symbion opening hours). As a member you can drink coffee and tea for free. Members have access to printing, scanning and copying from Symbions machines and on their set rates. CPHUX hold no responsibility for the state of the machines or failed prints etc. You should be able to install and operate printer on your own, you can find guidance here. CPHUX staff will need to help you when printing due to the payment system Symbion is using. When printing, members need to pay before printing and pay for what they print. Members have access to Symbions wifi. Be aware that our internet may not be used for any illegal download or use. CPHUX strives to keep all equipment in good shape and fully functional. In rare occasions the equipment and services may not be available due to technical errors. CPHUX can not be held responsible for any downtime. A part of CPHUX services is our events. CPHUX is not required to organise any specific amount of events. CPHUX will provide a event description, but is not responsible if changes occur.

Sign up & Payment

Member sign up to the membership online where payment is collected. Membership is renewed automatically. We use payment provider "Stripe" that makes it easier for our customers and payers to submit their payment. You can read more about Stripe's privacy policy here. You understand and agree that all payments and monetary transactions are handled by Stripe. You are responsible for all transactions (one-time, recurring, and refunds) processed through the Service and/or Stripe. CPHUX is not liable for loss or damage from errant or invalid transactions processed with your Stripe account. This includes transactions that were not processed due to a network communication error, or any other reason. You understand that "Stripe" collects the payment for the membership.

Personal Information, Marketing & Communications

CPHUX shall, at all times, treat member's personal information in accordance with our privacy policy and applicable law. The Member shall agree that CPHUX can register, save and use information of the Member (name, address, email address, phone number, photograph, job title, employer information, payment information and similar) in order to manage and maintain membership. The data processing coordinator responsible for information shall be CPHUX's CEO. The Member shall agree that CPHUX can save information about the attendance of the space in order to be able to monitor the Member's activity. In this regard, visiting of the space history shall reveal information on the number of visits to the space and in this way help CPHUX provide a service. CPHUX is allowed to send emails to its members up to once a week if needed. We use Mailchimp, with which we have a data processing agreement, for storing your email address in order to send out a newsletter. CPHUX do not sell, share or rent members personal information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information that is not linked to any kind of personal information about visitors and users, for our business partners and advertisers, as described above.

Termination of Membership

Termination period is instant. Once the membership have been terminated the ex-member is no longer entitled to the services, events and benefits CPHUX offer. CPHUX has a right to terminate the membership with immediate effect, especially in cases when member violates any provisions described in this document, house rules or similar. CPHUX has the right to terminate a membership if the member isn't living up to CPHUX requirements for being a part of the CPHUX community. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability. CPHUX shall not be liable to you or any third party for any claims or damages arising out of any termination or suspension or any other actions taken by us in connection therewith.

Permanent termination of data

If you are created as a user and no longer want your data to be in our database, you can have these removed by writing to info@cphux.com and entering the e-mail address that you use as login.

Withdraw from purchase of membership

If you for any reason are not satisfied with your purchase and have not used membership services, events and/or benefits, you can withdraw from the Member's agreement without justification within 14 days from the date you signed up to the membership. The cancellation period expires 14 days after the day you signed up to the membership. In order to withdraw, you must inform CPHUX via email info@cphux.com. The cancellation deadline is complied with if you submit your notice for cancellation before expiry of the withdrawal period.

Late Payment

If the payment for membership does not appear on time (due to changes in card details or other reasons), the membership is terminated. The member can sign up for a membership again using their old profile.

Changes in Membership

CPHUX has a right to make changes in membership, such as opening hours, prices, changes in benefits of the membership with 2 weeks notice. Changes will be announced on the website of Startup Guide or via email. Other changes can be made without notice.


Members can have guests for short meetings (around 1 hour) but are recommended to have meetings in the Symbion Space to avoid disturbing the other members. For longer meetings or collaborations, guests shall buy a Workpass. Potential members, people with a design background or a serious interest in professionally moving into design, can have 1 free Workpass. People who aren't eligible to become a CPHUX member are still allowed to purchase Workpass/es. A Workpass is 75 DKK, and is valid one work day.

Refund Policy

After the initial 14 days of withdrawal period have passed, the payment for membership is not refundable.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that State or location.


In no event shall CPHUX or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on CPHUX's website, even if CPHUX or a CPHUX authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.


Your use of the services of CPHUX is at your sole risk. The services is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or course of performance. CPHUX its subsidiaries, affiliates, and its licensors do not warrant that a) the services will function uninterrupted, secure or available at any particular time or location; b) any errors or defects will be corrected; c) the service is free of viruses or other harmful components; or d) the results of using the service will meet your requirements. This disclaimer of liability applies to any damages or injury caused by any failure of performance, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, computer virus, communication line failure, theft, or destruction or unauthorized access or, alteration of or use of record in connection with the use or operation of the service, whether for breach of contract, tortious behaviour, negligence or any other cause of action. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability or availability with respect to the content contained on the service for any purpose. Any reliance you place on such information is therefore strictly at your own risk. We disclaim any express or implied warranty representation or guarantee as to the effectiveness or profitability of the service or that the operation of our service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not liable for the consequences of any interruptions or error in the service.

Intellectual Property

The CPHUX website, Facebook Page and its original content, features and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of CPHUX and its licensors. Nothing in these Terms constitutes a transfer of any Intellectual Property rights from us to you.

Accuracy of Materials

The materials appearing on CPHUX's website could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. CPHUX does not warrant that any of the materials on its website are accurate, complete or current. CPHUX may make changes to the materials contained on its website at any time without notice. However CPHUX does not make any commitment to update the materials.


The CPHUX website may contain links to third-party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by CPHUX. CPHUX has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party web sites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that CPHUX shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such web sites or services. We only provide links to external websites as a convenience, and the inclusion of such a link to external websites do not imply our endorsement of those websites. You acknowledge and agree that when you access other websites on the Internet, you do so at your own risk. In the case CPHUX host advertisements from third parties, we'll disclose those relationships even if we are not paid for them.


CPHUX may revise these terms of service for its website at any time without notice. By using this website you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these terms of service.
